Hello, I'm Jacky D.
Hi, my name is Jacky and I live with my husband and two wonderful dogs Max & Barney. They make me laugh every day, and help to keep me active by going on long walks. I especially enjoy my quiet time with them along the local canal in the mornings where I can gather my thoughts for the day and enjoy my natural surroundings. I am a bit of a creative and enjoy creating clay ceramics and sculptures in my spare time, and I also love interior design and creating colourful and warm spaces at home. Since training to be a health coach I now enjoy experimenting in the kitchen, and having friends and family round for dinner. I also practice yoga and meditation, along with fitness classes and swimming. I love a good film, but also nights out with friends, and travelling abroad especially to Spain which has become our second home! Finally, of course I love wellness and I am passionate about being a health coach and seeing the changes people can make with my support and guidance. I like to create a relaxed and informal environment for my sessions in order for my clients to feel they are in a welcome and supported space.

How can you help me improve my health?
As your health coach, I can help you improve your health by providing guidance, accountability, and personalized strategies that fit your lifestyle. We would work together to define realistic and achievable health goals, whether it’s weight loss, building on fitness, improving energy, managing stress, hormones, or enhancing your overall wellbeing. I will help you to make healthier food choices without restrictive dieting. This includes understanding how different foods impact your body and energy levels. We will review all areas of your health and wellbeing including exercise & movement, stress management & mental wellbeing and quality sleep. I’ll provide strategies to develop sustainable habits, track your progress, and keep you motivated. We will make small, consistent changes that will lead to lasting results.
Please share a health transformation story from one of your recent clients.
One of my clients is 79 years old, and suffers from Parkinson's. She came to me to help her lose weight and increase her mobility. Over the course of 8 coaching sessions, she mastered how to eat in a more balanced way, and keep her blood sugars balanced with healthy snacks etc. By the end of the sessions she had lost a stone in weight, and has maintained her new weight. She is feeling more energised, confident and active. She travels regularly to Australia to see family, and as a result of our coaching still feels confident and fit enough to travel such a long distance.
What’s your approach? Why might I like working with you?
I take a relaxed, supportive, and non judgemental approach to health coaching because improving your wellbeing shouldn’t feel overwhelming or like a chore. My goal is to help you create sustainable habits that fit into your life. I focus on realistic, gradual changes that actually stick because extreme overhauls don’t usually last. We would work on reviewing old habits that may no longer serve you and focus on building new habits that feel good and fit within your lifestyle. This journey should be enjoyable, I encourage balance, which means, yes you can still have chocolate or a glass of wine! If you want a coach who listens, adapts to your needs, and makes health feel doable (and even fun!), we’ll be a great fit. I’ll be there as your cheerleader, and accountability partner without ever making you feel bad about where you are now.
What’s your story and why are you a Health Coach?
Like many women, as I entered my 40s, I began struggling with menopause symptoms, restless nights due to night sweats, constant fatigue, and a lack of motivation to exercise. The weight started creeping on, and I noticed changes in my body that left me feeling less confident and frustrated. Discovering health coaching was a turning point. By making sustainable changes to my eating habits, fitness routine, and overall lifestyle, I’ve learned to embrace midlife with renewed energy, vitality, and self-assurance. Now, my mission is to empower other women to do the same. I help those navigating perimenopause, menopause, and midlife transitions build healthy habits, break free from old patterns, and make choices that support not just longevity, but a vibrant, fulfilling life.

“Jacky is an experienced health coach. I found my sessions with her very helpful. She is so knowledgeable about diet and I found it easy to follow. I lost a stone during my sessions (8) with Jacky and I was not dieting - just following her tips about blood sugar regulating. I also learned more about myself and she motivated me to think about exercise and the importance of drinking water! I would have no hesitation in recommending Jacky to others."

“I really enjoyed working with Jacky as my health coach, she tailored the plan to the areas I wanted to work on and she was very knowledgeable when I had questions about foods I was eating and the impact they have on me. Each session was varied and different and I really enjoyed learning more about nutrition. I feel more motivated to keep up the changes I have put in place, knowing more about the benefits they will have now.”
